Okay after seeing the chevy spring swap in action i would like to run it....but I would rather run the double shackle set up so how would I get a 4in.lift total out of the rear? I dont want to run blocks because to me they serve no purpose but looking higher and alowing bigger tires.1987 toyta 4runner thanks in advance.

You'll get close to 3" of lift from the Chevy swap (gained mostly by moving the spring mount forward on the frame, and therefore lower). Use longer shackles to get the rest.

use a longer second shackle. the one that goes between the spring and the shackle that rests against the frame.

i don't wanna hi-jack, rockcrawlintoy, but i'm just curious why you don't like your double shackles? i've heard good and bad things about them, but your truck seems to be set up super good so i'd like to hear your point of view, having put them on your truck and used em

the unexpected unloading is what sucks. u will be in a hairy spot and the double shackle will open and it can put u on your lid. i have almost rolled several times because of the unloading.

Well not to jump on any one but...I will still run with the double shackle this way beacuse I need the articulation it provides. I'm not to worried about the unloading seeing as I will have an full exo-cage run before summer hits...

u will have more then enoght flex with the chevies trust me. the double shackle is a poor design and anyway flex is only cool on the ramp. lockers make up for the rest Drew
