hey guys, I own a 90 runner, and I last year I put some all-pro 2" rear coils on mine to level it out. well, now I wanna run 33s but I still want tire clearence. My plan is to put on some 1.5" ball joint spacers, and then a 2" body lift all together. does this sound ok? and do you think it will give me decent tire clearence and a decent ride? also how tricky are body lifts to do? thanx alot mock1

Depends on which 33's your gonna use. But 4xfred only installed a 1.25 4crawler BL and slightly cranked T-bars and has no problem running a 33 x10.5's As for the ball joint spacer I still don't see how these help anything. I'm probably missing something but anyway the 2" BL should be ok if not I would consider a small bolt on wheel spacer if they rub at the frame.

...As for the ball joint spacer I still don't see how these help anything. I'm probably missing something ... BJ spacers provide front lift in addition to or in lieu of cranking the t-bars. And they don't affect the ride or articulation like cranking the t-bars does.

i'm running 3" body lift along with 2" spacers in the rear and i clear my 33s fine, only rub when turned all the way and flexed(i have a 94runner). and no the body lifts aren't THAT hard, just take your time. you'll have to take up the carpet and what not to find all the body bolts and will have to adjust radiator and what not under the hood...just like any other body lift. good luck to ya!
