I just put a 3" body lift on mine the only problems i ran into was that one of the body bolts kept braking i'm not quite sure why it kept happening but you can buy replacement for a few cents at your local harware store. Also The hose that goes from where you put the nozzel at the gas station at to the tank ripped while putting on the back section of the lift so be careful for that but otherwise pretty simple instalation. This was all on a 02 tacoma but i'm assuming it realtively the same

"but you can buy replacement for a few cents at your local harware store"
Don't be stupid. 1) It's breaking for a reason, something is wrong, out of alignment or hung up. 2) Use no less than GRADE #8 bolts!!!
As far as to what to look out for.... 1) Open the hood and look at all the harnesses and connections from the motor, the wiring/comp, body and frame. Get familiar with them. Feel them for tension. Look where they connect and are held by. 2) Do the same thing under the bed. 3) Do the same thing at the F+R bumpers. 4) Do one section, one side of the truck at a time. Lift slowly with a floor jack and a wooden block(to transfer the weight). As you lift on side, stop and check everything for tension with EVERY pump of the jack. 5) When starting, loosen all body bolts, but only remove the side you are lifting(body can shift and fall off/out of alignment) 6) Have a helper. Not necc. but never hurts. Avoid a worthless bystander, who will only say "Ok" to appease you and 'get the job done'. 7) The steering stem extensions are a BITCH!. My 94 went flawlessly until I got to this point. It took 3hrs to do this. Take your time, don't cross-thread the bolt.
It all sounds complicated, but it is just nuts and bolts. Don't half-ass anything. Your life and safety depend on it. It is really an easy, fun job and beats the hell out of trying to install a suspension left yourself in your driveway.....
God luck, have fun and let us know how it goes.

Some general things to watch out for as you raise the body off of the frame:
Ground strap from rear of engine to firewall - will need to be lengthened Front brake lines ( the hard lines that come off the firewall to the frame ) - the coils will have to be stretched out some Fuel filler hose - loosen clamps Fan shroud - remove bolts, then re-install with BL kit extensions when done

PS: If you've got an Auto tranny, find a local shop (auto or any) that will be willing to weld your shift rod. (you'll have to extend it some with the (possibly) supplied rod material) They may also send you some material for the shifter if a standard trans. I didn't use the std shifter extension, I just hogged out the inner metal shift boot and bent my lever a little. I did only do a 2'' BL to avoid the 3'' BL issues.

On a 3" bodylift the linkages for the auto are a lil tricky but not something thats really hard. Yeah like he said if bolts keep breaking you have a major problem. I flipped mine 4 to 5 times and still never broke a bolt. Take the rear bumper hangers off flip them and switch sides and reattach the bumper and it will perfectly correct for a 3" bodylift so you have no gap in the back. You will have to drill out the new holes a lil and puts some grade 8 bolts back in. You'll see what I'm talking about when you do it. Good Luck man. It's so much better to do it yourself.
