I am in the process of finding a good lift kit. I have alot to price and figure out but I need help with the general idea. I am fairly new to offroading. I have a 98 Toyota Tacoma. Am I correct in say that I have a pair of shocks in the back, and a pair of struts on the front on my truck? If this is true, which I believe it is, using coil spacers as my front lift, do I need to replace the stock struts? I am looking at a 2 1/2 inch lift......Any kind of input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Ok man what you have in the front is a coil over its a coil bolted to a strut. Your stock coils and struts will be fine. The spacer is very easy to put on yourself. The rear is shocks. Which you might want to replace if you offroad much. So you have all the flex in the rear you can get. You have manual hubs right? The ones you have to get out and lock in yourself. If you have auto hubs the max you can lift the front is 2.5" or you will eat your cv boots up. If you have some questions hit me up at live4yotas@yahoo.com later man good luck.
