I dont understand the whole double shackle thing. I tried the search thing but it didn't work. can somebody dumb it down for me please.

Here the shackles sit at rest.
Here is a side and rear view of the shackle at work. They will unfold until they are in a straight line with each other and going forward at about 15-20 degrees. Once I actually had one of them fold back up in the wrong direction. This can be prevented by making a stop plate on them.
Basically the shackle begins to drop before the leaf spring is fully stretched out making less stress for the leaf spring and adding more drop in wheel travel.

i had these for a while. my truck flexes better now with a single shackle, it rides better and also is more stable that with the double shackle set up. i wouldnt do it
