I have a 2007 RAV4 Sport w/ AWD. I am looking to raise the vehicle 3" for ground clearance while trailering and aesthetic purposes only. This vehicle is not taken off-road at all. Does anyone know of a vendor who could supply me with a bolt-on suspension lift? I've tried Google but haven't found anything because the RAV is not considered an off road vehicle. Thanks.

Just a small utility trailer. I usually pull a lawn tractor or an ATV locally. Some of my friends pull camper trailers. The RAV sits so low that the trailer hitch is about 12-15" off the ground. Plus, a little more ground clearance would add to the look of the RAV. I can tow about 1500 - 2000 lbs easily with my 4 banger. But the V6 model has 276 hp and can tow about 3500 lbs.

Unfortunately no one makes any lift kits for the Rav4's I have a customer that wants to lift his Highlander so he can drive around his beach property. But no luck as of yet.

An Aussi member of Rav4World was able to raise his RAV about 3" by replacing the coil springs. I think I'm going to have to go this route. Would just replacing the springs have any adverse affect on anything else?

At the moment the only thing that comes to mind is the angle of the CV axles. This may put more stress on them but how much is unknown to me. I would like o know what spring the person used to gain the lift.
