well i got my aussie locker on the 6th and installed it that night.
it went pretty easy. i had to take off my brake line to get the axles out. i only took one side off.
once i got the diff out i marked every thing to help get it lined up when i put it back together. i just used a white paint pen.
getting the locker in was tight. i had to take off some with a dremel tool. i had to take of just a little off the sides with a sanding bit. i had get a cutting bit for the corners on the ring gear side. they are round and i had to make it a more of a square. once i got it taken down enough it went in easy.
i cleaned every thing out and started to put it back together. when putting on the ring gear some people say they need to heat up the gear to get it back on the carrie. i did not have to do this. i put the carrie in and adj. the backlash(i set mine at .006). once i got it done it went back together fine.
got it in and dorve around the block. on backing out of the drive way i heard a loud pop but never again. if i get on the gas around a corner it locks. if coast around a corner it ratches.
i am trying to get used to it by trying to coast around corners now.
i went out to the desert and tried some hills. the hills had very loose rock on them. when going up them both rear tires were always spinning. i could make it up some and some half way. my open diffs before could not make it up at all.
i am very pleased with the locker and am thinking of getting another one later when i do the sas for the front.
if you guys have any questions about it i will try to help out.
