I installed a detroit locker in my truck recently and it performs better than I ever imagined. On the streetIt works just like it should. Whenever I use the skinny pedal it locks up, and when I let off of the pedal it disengages so I can coast around a corner without spinning, chirping, axle hop n such. Took a little to get used to but isn't anything unmanageable. OffroadOffroad the detroit performs awsome. I tested it on a trail that I used to have trouble on at many points in 4 low, having to try them 2 or more times because of tires leaving the ground. With the detroit I went through most of the trail in 2WD because I didn't have problems with tires comming off the ground and loosing power, the tire on the ground still powered me on. I did use 4lo at points though because I wanted the gearing to slow me down so I didn't kill the engine at an unconvenient time or break something by going too fast. It also greatly helped with loose dirt/rock, exspecially on hills/hill climbs. My RatingI give the product 2 It works just as it should and greatly improved the performance of my truck
