I had to share this I recently purchased my Swamper SSR's and black crawler rims from Desert Rat and they were great. Well I decided that the wheel locks are a PITA and wanted to replace them with reg lugs so I called them up and explained what I needed the 4 lugs to replace locks and another to replace the one I lost. Lee said no problem ship them right out to ya I asked how much he replied NO CHARGE ;D.Well it gets better I got the package today from UPS and the box was a lot heavier than 5 lug nuts I opened the box not only did I get my 5 lugs they also threw in a complete Gorilla wheel kit NO CHARGE  So if your in the market for wheels and tires check these guys out they're customer service is EXCELLENT!!! www.desertrat.com/ |

How were they shipping East coast?
I know one place claims "free shipping", then hits you for "handling"...bastards...

OH yes!!!!! I purchased my wheels and tires from desertrat.com a little over a year ago!
I ordered 33x12.50 general grabber MT's on simulated beadlock rockcrawlers(black), they mounted, balanced, gorilla lug nuts, wheel locks, center caps, and shipped it all to my door in like 3 days for 900 bucks!
The only thing i have noticed about the place is that they specialize more in Heep products. It would be nice to see them go into some more toy products too! But other then that i totally agree with you Hoodlum! I was very pleased by their service!!.
Stew: I think they have a 5 dollar fee for each tire or something like that. I was a lil P/O'd when it came down to that but besides that fact its still a heck of a place for tire and wheel packages. I had searched all over the net and stores in town here and nothing compared to the prices i was able to find there at their website.

Everyone is entitled to a fair profit for service.  I just had a unpleasureable experience a few yrs back with another place claiming "free shipping". The "handling" was NEVER mentioned until I got the bill. Would I have not made the purchase? no. I would have, just don't think we deserve hidden costs. Up front, Honesty and good Service.
