;D Hey all!! I'm in the market for a boat. My plans are for something in the 16-20 foot range. My current fav. is the Bayliner 175. Brand new,w/trailer it's only $10,000. Anybody got advice/opinions?? Later...

What are you going to be using it for? Skiiing? Fishing? Cruising? FWIW... I have a 19' bayliner that is a great boat, but it is underpowered. It's got a 120hp 4cyl Force motor. This motor isn't enough to get it's heavy ass planed out fast enough to get me out of the water on 1 ski. On 2 skiis it's fine, but not enough umph for 1 ski. If you're going to be pulling skiiers, get a V6.

;D Thanks for the input!! For better or worse, I bought a 17.5' Chaparral, 140 Merc. I/O., 0 hour outdrive/prop. It's 100% ready for the water. Too bad it's cold in PA. now!!! It's going to be a cruising/skiing/relaxing boat. I've got 2 girls, 10 & 12 who are fish & were real upset when everyone left the campground to go boating this summer. I'm just looking for a way to spend more quality time w/the family while I still can. My fat ass gave up skiing & went to a knee board so that should be no prob. Later...
