[shadow=red,left,300][glow=blue,2,300]TIPS FOR BEING GOOD AT MOTOCROSS[/glow][/shadow] 1. Take off is optional; landing is mandatory.
2. Remember that if the jumps get bigger the houses get smaller, but if the jumps get smaller the houses may get in the way.
3. Motorcross isn’t dangerous, crashing is.
4. The only time you have too much fuel is when you’re on fire.
5. A good landing is one you can walk away from. A great landing is one where you can still use your motorcycle.
6. Learn from the mistakes of other. You won’t live long enough to make them all yourself.
7. The probability of survival from a jump is inversely proportional to the angle of arrival. Large angle of arrival, small probability of survival, and vice versa.
8. Never let the motorcycle take you somewhere your brain didn’t get to five minutes earlier.
9. Stay out of the clouds. It’s hard to see other riders and reliable sources also report that mountains have been known to hide out in them.
10. Always try to keep the number of landings equal to the number of take offs.
11. There are three basic rules for making a smooth landing. Unfortunately no one knows what they are.
12. You will start off with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck

[glow=red,2,300]RETIRE?[/glow] Sorry to here. I've raced the Pro Circuit for 4 1/2 years, slipped a discs twice and fractured my back once, plus a good fair amount of bump and bruses and minor fractures (wrist, fingers, toes, etc.) But I'm still riding hard as I did; except now only with friends and through the woods, fire trails, and race tracks just for fun.
They'll have to drag my kicking DEAD body from my bike before they get me to stop.

I'm still in that state of confusion.... Go for the girl... the 4x4... the motorcycle... or the quad.
Some times I just have to load the girl and the motorcycles/quad in the 4x4 and just have fun with them all.

I don't compete or anything but I have an old CR250 I like to take to the track and putt around on occasionally. Less in the last few years as I have gotten just too damn heavy for the thing.

I don't compete either, but ride a quad. We also just got a custom built two seater dunebuggy. Runs off a snowmobile engine. Been doing it all my life. Never been hurt as seriouse as some. That's ok in my book.

13. When landing always make sure that your motorcycle is still under you.
