Some of u might have heard about me wanting to do a V8 swap into my runner. Well i decided that Im goin to keep my 3vze and just turbo it as soon as i get all the parts and other little crap i need. Im planing on using a Stock 2g T-25 Mitsubishi Eclipse Turbo. As u can see in the pictures there are a bunch of emmision crap there so im goin to remove every thing, so i can make room for the turbo. Right now im just brain storming and planing where everthing will go.

Awesome man. I would be interested in seeing how you are going to do this. I've often thought about it and tossed around the idea of running a low boost turbo to help with power. How are you planning on routing intake and exhaust manifolds? I did a turbo swap in my Saab a long time ago. A T-25 should be a good quick spooling turbo for what you need.

;D I don't know which so I included both! If you can make this work, it'd be awesome. Don't forget about upgrading the fuel system to handle the turbo. I've seen the results W/NOS & it ain't pretty. Later...

sweet plan, I've got the 6 cly too and would definetly be interested in seeing what kind of power gains you get. My only concern so far is your mounting position, turbos throw off a ton of heat, your position would be ideal for a blower, but you may want to consider mounting the turbo lower down and away from the electrical. Good luck and keep us updated

The picture below gives a somewhat idea of how i would like to route the intake. The reason i chose this side of the engine was the heat purpose. On the driver side there is the coil, alternator, distrib. On the passenger side, basicly the only electrical thing im worried about is the Fusebox. But if i do turbo, ill probably wrap it in insulation. That and im goin to have a crowl hood made. For fuel im thinking Supra injecters and fuel pump.

You should realy do a write up on this, I always wondered how much electrical is involved in this? I want more power, but want to keep my engine. Some help on electrical and all the other stuff would help. And is that a PA or alarm in your truck, I want to put in a PA, but never thought of putting it under the hood.

Well, i dont think there is anything electrical that i have to mess with besides relocating some stuff. Its mostly all mechanical, vaccums, welding etc.. And yea thats my Cobra PA speaker.

P.A. speakers are highly therapeutic. You can yell at people stopped at green lights in front of you, or if you are really stressed out, find the nearest Sonic and clown on the ricers!

I used a manual APC on my T3 garret to manually change the boost if I wanted more. I can find a pic and show ya what it was. Costs about $15 and was very simple to install. Just pop the cap and make a small adjustment to allow full boost. If you didn't watch it would over boost and cut out when pressure got too high.

i asked him about the turbo... he said that it would be useless if you have the V6... you should go with a 14B (its the turbo on a 1st gen ecipse) or a straight T4. sounds like the 14B would be cheaper... just go down to your local junkyard... he knows alot about them... he still has a couple supra turbos laying around but they smoke. they need to be rebulit, but if you still want them you just have to pay shipping... its up to you. if you have anymore questions about turbos i'll run them by my brother. let me know what you decide to do. you got me interested in this whole turbo thing

Well i really dont like the 14B, i put one on my friends 2nd gen, and it doesnt peel out like it used to anymore. Do u know where i could get a rebuilt kits, ive tried looking but come out empty handed. I think i would perfer to stay with a toyota part though. Where u located?

im in maryland... ill ask ny brother where you can get a rebuild kit. he was looking to rebuild his twins before i found him the T61... hmm you should go with a T61 or T101. that would be some crazy power that might be just alittle to much power for what you want. what kind of power are you looking to get out of this. where are you located... i dont have a clue what shipping would be.
