$1216 for a lift for an 85 ? ? ? WTF ?
Is it 24K gold ? ?
Do they fly in and install it for you ? ?
Do they at least use KY, and give you the courtesy of a reach around ?
And yeah, I'm familiar with Glen from my XJ days. I hope his service has improved.

;D The ARB bumper price doesn't surprise me. You WILL pay it's weight in gold. I'm w/4wd1 on the lift. Please tell us what it includes. Especially the part about the dancing girls! ;D Later...

4wheelparts should do the bumper for $662. I hope you get dinner and a movie before you pay that for the suspension.

hmmm...so that isnt the steal i thought it was...well the lift comes with 4 leafs the shocks, stabalizer and bushings...i havent really seen any other place that sells the OME lift for 85's...all i usually see are the coils for like the 92 runners...if someone can steer me in the right direction for good prices and such it'd be appreciated.

I guess the 1st question is why you chose OME ? Granted they are definitely the best suspension systems when it comes to ride. And when you explain that it includes 4 spring packs, 4 shocks, and stabilizer it's a little more reasonable. You might want to check out the offerings from All Pro and Advance Offroad Research also. And the KY wasn't for the reach around !

the reason i was thinkin OME's cause ive never really heard anything bad bout them...they have great ride qualities and i dont plan on a big lift, im porbably not gonna go bigger than 33" tires...ive looked at allpro and dont like those because of the plate you have to weld to the axle...AOR seems ok but they have the 5" longer springs in the rear...im sure they can make stock length ones tho...and about the 5 inch longer ones, do you have to relocate the mounts on the front and rear of the spring or just on the shackle side?...anyway, im still in the thinking process...i have a few other things to do before i get ready for a lift.

I don't think you will ever hear anything bad about OME. They are the best lift you can get if you want excellent ride and handling (better than new from factory) and need only 2" or so of lift. The price just seemed high until told what all it included. It sounds like you have considered the options and chosen well.
