he is still not alowwed to have visitors... i havent seen him in almost two weeks... he wont be able to recive a donner eye, only a glass one. thats probaly better considering he will be blind in his left eye anyway. if they put a glass eye in he wont have to go through as much pain when it heals... the updates that i have are... he went into surgery, they took out his eye and did reconstuctive surgery on his eye socket, they put a ball in so that the socket heals right they will put a glass eye in later, they put plates and pins into his ankle... hes out of the ICU, and they took the moniter out of his brain, so that means that hes stable... i think... he cant talk at all... all he does is make bubbleing and gurgleing noises so he will have to go through speach thearpy... i hope that ill be able to see him soon... the bastards that did this to him got away with it... the cops told his Dad that there was no way they were going to catch them... that pisses me off... im hopeing that they will brag about it (i know alot of people in Glen Burnie and if some one is flapping there gums ill find out about it) keep him in your prayers and also pray that we catch these bastards... thank all of you for your support through this it means alot to me and my friends

im going to see matt on friday he is real well... he is in thearpy... the first thing he said when he woke up was "fu%k those ni&&ers" so he knows part of what happened. and when they told him all of what happened he said im going to kill those ni%%gers and tried to walk out the thr rehab place, als he put his hand on his chest and said that this id going to heal, then he put his hand on his ankle and said this is goibg to heal also, then he put his hand on his eye and said this is never going to heal that hasd got to be one of the hardest things ive ever had to deal with. i dont know what to say to him ive never dealt with one of my friends getting shot and living so i will see how it goes on friday...he doesnt say his friends names but he knows who they are... im so happy hes out og the hosptail

well i saw him... hes awake and walking around... he didnt know who i was but did remember when he totaled his blazer offroading with me... he cant say what he wants to, he called a clock a sweater spelled food 5omm so hes got alot of work to do but he is way a head of the game... he can still cus like theres no tomorrow wich is great... he asked his dad when his eye is going to heal, his dad told him never. he shruged his shoulders and said "that sucks". if anyone is a nascar fan im raffeling off my timeshare in daytona soon to raise money for his glass eye. the trip to daytona will be the same time as the daytona 500. i might throw in airfair but im not sure yet so dont qoute me on that... ill give you guys more updates as i get them

It will get better with time unfortunatly it takes longer than we want it to and can get frustrating not so much for yourself but watching your friend struggle along and when they seem to show huge improvments then the next day it seems like they're going somewhat backwards they're not head trauma is a f@%^ed up thing for example after one of my many concusions I thought I was ok about 3 or 4 days later I woke up and had no idea where I was or that I had to go to work or anything it was one of the scariest things that has happened to me it only lasted for about a half an hour but it was like a switch boom back to normal when I went to the doctor he said I should have went to the hospital when I slammed my head off of the windshield of my 82 camaro but like I said I thought I was fine NOT It turns out that the new bump on my head was putting pressure on a previous injury and it triggered some strange s(*&^ so hang in there its gonna get better let us know when you find out the cost of the glass eye I'm sure all of us here on TOR will be happy to figure out somthing |

i heard that the glass eye and the surgery is going to cost around $30,000... thats alot of money i dont know how much my friends have rasied yet but i know its not anywhere close to that

i found out how much money has been rasied for his glass eye. we have around $12,000 so far... if anyone wants to make a donation it would help out alot... his insurance does not cover things like glass eyes... right now all he has in is a glass black ball... his dad is trying to take out a loan to cover as much of the cost as they can... again any help would help out so much... i feel weird asking you guys for help b/c you dont know me or anything like that. but he is getting really depressed every time he looks at his eye and im trying to do my part to help him out... i would also like to thatnk you guys for all of your support and prayers.

just an update... i saw matt the other day at glorydays and he was in a good mood... he kept on trying to steal my beer. hes not allowed to drink for atleast a year b/c of the bullet in his brain. the doc said if he gets drunk that he could have serious problems... i also let his mom read the post. she started crying. she wants me to thank yall for all of your prayers and support. it means the world to her, and me as well... again thanks for all the prayers and support...
