First off, for those of you who vote on a regular basis - Thank you!
For those of you who don't - if it is because you don't know when to vote, or you have forgotten to vote... I have just made it easier for you to prove that TOR is the best 4x4 site out there.
First, you will notice that beside the Top4x4 link at the top of the page, if you have not voted, it says VOTE NOW. Once you have voted, it will say Thank You For Voting.
Next, if you look at the bottom of your browser window, there is a counter that counts down the time until your next elligible vote - when it gets to 0, it tells you to VOTE NOW.
Lastly, at the bottom of the web page, there is a little voting statistics box that tells you the last time you voted, the next time you can vote, and how many times you have voted since I started this thing.
All of this requires cookies, and until you vote for the first time, things MIGHT act a little funky.
I hope this helps you - and ultimately, helps the site.
If you experience ANY problems with this, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!
Thanks! ;D

Mike - Your post kind of answered a voting quetsion of mine. At the botom of the web page it always says that I have NEVER voted. As a loyal reader/light weight poster of TOR I want to contribute to the suscess of the site. I vote when I remember to, but am forgetfull and admitidly dont vote everytime I visit the sight like I know I should. Anyways.... back on track, you mentioned "cookies" need to be turned on for voting to work. I have heard the term cookie before but dont know how to change my setting for the voting to work. Im sure you can advise me on how to fix this. Thanks YoterChad

Nah... it may just be something with the way that the cookies are working. If you are not accepting cookies, than it may be throwing it off. If it is not working for you, just remember that you can only vote 1 time every 24 hours.
thanks,

voted I don't visit every day but most days. I try to remember to vote every time. If we could get a few more things being talked about in this forum then may visit a little more often. maybe not also but would be a little more to keep some of us here a little longer.

if u clean your interent history...aka cookies your voting history will be erased....oh and if u guys want to vote morew then once a day u can always disconnect youe ip...reconnect and get a new one so u can vote with the new ip addy, that will pretty much work with every net user unless u have a stactic type IP... btw this site is awsome...even though i know how to trick the voting system i too forget to vote every now and then when i visit...and am too lazy to do the dyanmic ip voting trick...lol

the "vote now" icon isn't a link when I try to vote. From what I can see on my screen, there is no way that I can even attempt to vote. No links, nothing

Can you click on the Top 4x4 logo? Hmmm.... it should be working. What browser are you using?

I am using Mircrosoft Internet Explorer. It hasn't worked for quite some time now, at least for me. I thought I had posted this info in a previous post related to this. I used to vote for the site all the time and all of the sudden it stopped working for me. I have no idea what could be wrong , but I am logged in and even if i am not logged in it won't work. If you could figure it out, that would be extremely sweet.

Believe me, I want to figure it out. Can you go here: top4x4sites.com/cgi-bin/arp/rankem.cgi?id=mkelly ? If so, bookmark it and vote every 24 hours! Also, check the main site and let me know if you can get to it from there (www.toyotaoffroad.com). Thanks,

Am I voting wrong? Voted 10 X in 10 days; scoreboard at bottom says I voted 2 X. Last 2 times I voted: Clkd--Top4x4Sites; Clkd-- Vote Here for Site U Just Left; Scroll down thru the sites; found TOR.com(#39 today-up from #42); clkd--TOR site; brings you back to TOR.com. Is this the correct way? Previous--I clkd on Top4x4Sites; clkd--Vote Here; then I'd quit their site, return to TOR.com. Didn't think I then had to find & clk on TOR to log my vote. Either way, I get--Thank You for Voting (screen). Which method is correct? Are you getting all of the votes people are casting?

The voting is odd to say the least. I'm not totally sure how they calculate it. I do know that your vote will not be counted in the box at the bottom if you vote before your 24hr time period is up. Watch the status bar at the bottom of your browser. From what I understand, your vote is cast when you click the link that says "Click here to vote for the site you just left".
Thank you for your support!!!

Mike, Voting seems 2 work. Thanx for advice. Hope they count all votes! How about-send message to each TOR member direct? Make 1 message-send to all on user list? We're at#38 for last few days. We can do better!

Mike, Awesome site, I can't imagine the hard work. Re: Voting--seems their counter doesn't register every vote. Is it anti-Yota conspiracy?
