Hillbilyfire14 Warning

I thought about letting this slide, even after seeing hillbilyfire14 wanting to buy a truck form another member. Although I did PM that member to let him know about hillbilyfire14. Then I noticed that he is selling some used shocks in the PARTS BIN. So I decided to let you all know.

I sent him parts that he needed for his truck in good faith that he'd send me the money for them, but still have not received it. It was only $16 w/ S&H, so it's no great loss. But I believe in trust, and if you can't trust your family and friends, then who can you trust. I may not know you personally, but wheather you're a wheeler, daily driver, or both, and you belong to this board then you're part of that big TOY family that's out there.

I sent you the parts you needed for your truck in good faith that you would still pay for them. You should have recieved them by now, if not a week or more ago. I told you the cost four days before I shipped them and I still have not got a check from you, nor a reply to my last my last PM about your payment. What's up?

If you decided you don't want the parts then send them back otherwise payment would be nice. Please let me know what going on.

Hey Deadly, I am so sorry. I recieved your package a little over a week ago just before I was going out of town. So things were a little hectic. When I came back I had totally forgotten that I had even recieved it. I just got your e-mail and pm message. I will send it out as soon as possible. Again, I am very sorry it took so long for me to send the money. Thank you very much!

I know my last PM was not going to get the money to me, but I figured that after a month and a half after sending the parts, and a month of him having the part and telling me again that he was going to send me a check, and him no longer replying; well I figured I wasn't going to get it anyways.

As I said I believe in trust, and I trust that if you any of you do business with hillbilyfire14 then you will still treat as a friend.
JUST REMEMBER: Cash first. Or if he's selling.... parts first.

It's the same as when you're on the trail. If someone is broke down, help 'em out as much as you can. Wheather it's giving them parts or maybe helping them find parts. Others or maybe the same person you helped will some day return the favor when you need it. Wheather it's on or off the road. One of the spare parts that I carry with me when I wheel is a stock steering setup, even though it's useless for my rig.

I know exactlty what you mean a few weeks ago I was on my way home from 4xfred's and it was raining there was a 74 camaro with the hood up 4ways going but I could see that it was still running I don't know why but next thing I know I'm standing in the pouring rain with these guys couldn't have been more than 18 or 19 the throttle cable retainer broke didn't give a second thought I took apart my key chain and bent the ring slide it through and we were all on our way they tried to give me money I refused and said remember this next time you see someone broke down he looked at me strangely at first then nodded and said yeah absolutely and then said if it weren't for me who knows how long I would be here it was about 11.30pm and along way from anything

Thank you DEADLYPEACE for the warning. I can remeber the time when "MEN" could conduct business on a handshake. Its a crying shame that in todays world that a mans word isn't worth what it use to be. I guess thats what keeps paypall and the like in business. Thanks again. My thoughts and blessings are with you.

That sucks dude, just last week a guy sent me a $40 check for some shocks I had in the garage. I recieved the cash and the very next day put his shocks UPS to Missouri...I get nervous about doing buisness online but I know that what goes around comes around and if someone isn't true to their word on here, they will get anialated and won't be accepted again, that's how the world works...good luck gettin' your money bro.

I know im only a newbie to the board, but i understand what you say 100%. I have been burned a couple times for parts or service performed by people who i have dealt with. I now have the unwritten rule of " cash upfront" or i do not perform.....
for the people who have tried to screw me over, I have created my own personal black list. It also covers those who have black marks against them , ie hillbilyfire14.

Just a thought, MOD but on the fullsizechevy.com board you cannot post for sale items until you reach 50 posts on regular discussion topics. Its a way to help other members get to you. They do this to prevent fly by night guys from taking advantage of the good guys.
I know I am new here but I have had similar happen to me. I guess no matter the items nature someone will always be there trying to screw you, huh?

I had the same thing happen to me a couple of years ago. I sold a transfer case or rather gave a transfer case away, never recieved a dime, or atleast an apology. I still see the guy today and he thinks were like best friends. its hard to do business when there are somany dishonest people out there. Sorry for your loss.
