Anyone ever been to a off road fundraising event? I've been wanting to organize an event along these lines in my area. Our 10 yr old has cystic fibrosis and there isn't alot of fundraising around for this disease. I've mentioned to the wife that I'd like to have a wheeling event/weekend as a fundraiser but haven't heard of anything like it before. I'm in the process of putting a concept together and doing it within the next couple of years, and I'd like to hear if anyone has any ideas. My ears are open. What would you guys do to organize an event of this type. It probably wouldn't be Toyota only as we'd want the largest turnout (or at least most funds for CF) as possible. Thanks for any input.

find someplace to wheel,do LOTS of advertising.Newspapers, forums online, word of mouth, anything you can think of to get the word out.Ask your autoparts stores if you can post something in there, car washes, anyplaces you think offroaders might frequent.Heck even post somethings at places where people go wheeling.Go wheeling yourself and talk to people and let them know the details. One more thing where are you located. If you aren't too far I'll come out

Last fall several clubs in our area got together for a wheeling event to raise money for a club member with cancer and no health insurance. Probably 80% of the people in attendance didn't even know who he was, but showed up in support.
