I am retireing from TOR (long)

Well gents, I think the time has come for me to retire from Toyotaoffroad.com. After almost 5 years of being a member (thats right I am one of the original "old forum" members who helped mike decide to go the route of a message forum instead of continue a message board).

Why you may ask (if you care)? Because after losing my old steed almost 2.5 years ago, not getting another one, and not going 4 wheeling since, I have begun to lose interest in this great hobby and thus have nothing to talk about on the board.

Although I still love wheeling and yoters beyond belief, I cannot afford to partake in this hobby after losing my job and making just enough to pay my rent now.

My knowldge of yoters is starting to vanish, and for about the past year I only posted here because I felt obligated, not because I wanted to. I say that with tears in my eye.

I feel like I have exceeded my usefullness here at TOR having nothing tech related to bring up, pics to show, or articles to write. I have become a fly on the wall, and most people here do not even recognize my name anymore.

I do believe this is the greatest yoter message board on the web, and although I am leaving, I am still very appreciative for all of the hard work Mike, Deadly, and the others have devoted to provide this service. I will always continue to point yoter drives I meet in this direction to hopefully contribute to this meca of knowlege and great spirits the way I once did.

I may stop in time to time as I will not delete this site from my favorites, so please don't delete my account. Besides, maybe one day hopefully I will have another yoter.

So it is with great remorse I say farewell, and happy wheeling.

Man it was definately good to have you around. Heck I would have never had an all pro bumper if it wasn't for you! Keep stopping back by and show us some pics of your subaru when you get a chance. Having moved from two jobs recently I know what it means when things are tight. Your a good guy man and I know you will do well providing for your family.

It has been great having you around. No too many people have stuck around from the old site, and to those who have, I am truely greatful. It's sad to see you go, but honestly, I understand. Keeping up with a board can be time consuming, and keeping up with one that you aren't really into must be really tough.

At any rate, good luck to you man... and good luck with your subby!

It was great to have you around. You were always very helpful to all of the members you could, back in the days and now. Don't ever stop doing it. Whether it’s here or just with someone on the street, or even if it about TOYs or just something in general.

Hope all goes well for you and that we do here back from you soon. Hate to see you go, take care.

Thanks, for the kind words everyone. I may be getting a yote soon, as I think I am going to join the Natl. gaurd as they are offering $20k sigining bonuses for prior military. If I do, you can bet I am getting a yoter.

On a side note, I finished installing my lower gears into the suby wagon, and my low range transfer case, so at least until then I can go offroading. If anyone in the ohio area sees a suby tearing it up on the trails be sure to say hey.

Wow, its been 5 years since the orriginal board? I cant believe ive been a member for that long, although i rarely post anymore so that could be why.

I wouldnt completely dissapear, your input has always been appreciated. I made the mistake of almost forgetting about this place after i sold my last toy, and i should have stuck arround. But, hindsight is always 20/20, and i again have another Toy.

Im sorry to hear about your situation, and hopefully it all works out in the end. I cant hardly imagine a TOR without you posting. Good luck, and dont vanish completely.
