I got my 93 Toyota w/4x4 and whenever I make real tight turns (wheel all the way one way or the other) my front end makes these real loud creaking noises. Now I had also had a 94 Toyota 4x2 that did the same thing in the same situation, I was wondering if anyone else had the same thing and knew what it was. Its only when I'm making turns, with the wheel all the way one way, and not any other time. I not real worried about it cause my other one did it too, but I would just like to know what it is.

steering stops usually have a plastic cap on them the cap wears away and then there is that metal on metal sound we all hear

Thanks. I got under there and checked them, and yeah they are definatly worn away. And then they move up and down, and thats whats causing the noise. Must be a trait of a Toyota, since my other one did it also. Thanks much for the tip.
