Grillz?

I have got a 93 pickup. I was wondering if there is any interchangability as far as front grills on toyota pickups or even earlier tacomas? I like the older solid black grills of the mid 80's. I was just wondering if you can swap them around or does that entail some modification?

It seems like a saw a thread somewhere ( not sure which site) about someone swapping in on older mid 80's grill, but it took some modification.

Thanks..i am sure it could be done. I just didnt know if they were a direct fit. I wonder how extensive the modifications would be?

the late 80's grills use the same clips as the early 90's but there are more mount points on the earlier ones and other than the corners they are a dif pattern so if you can tac weld some clip points you sould be able to do it as far as the tacoma grille they mount up using the same clips as well.

so the taco grills will mount directly up to what i have, correct?

what I'm saying is they pretty much all use the same clips to mount them so if you can make the mount points in the right locations yes it will mount up. just don't know how it will look.

I thought I saw somewhere that someone had put a 92-95 grill on a 79-83 truck like mine and it didnt look too bad but I have no idea on how much work was involved.
