I wasn't sure what sub forum to put this under so I just put it under here. Anyways, what's this that I am hearing about Toyota putting a 12 cyl. diesel into a 6X6 version of the Tundra, known as the: TOYOTA TYRANT?

As of right now it's just in prototype stage(on display at SEMA). They have already talked about scratching the project but Toyota hasn't made any final decisions one way or the other as of yet. If I recieve any up to date info I'll post it. I'm watching this one closely. I'm in the market for a tow rig and would rather have a Toyota towing my Toy than some off-brand ;D

For most folks this is very true, but I work for Toyota and pay pennies over dealer cost basically I pay what it costs to do the paperwork.

Is it really a 6X6 though? I mean you don't normally see many 6X6's on the road.

That still doesn't answer my question as to whether it has 2 or 3 axles underneath it.

"answer my question as to whether it has 2 or 3 axles underneath it."
It's a dually. Single rear axle with 2 wheels each side.
