I have a 83 toyota 4x4 w/ 22R.
it will not idle
all i run is premium gas
its been sugest to switch to a ford motorcraft 2 barral
what do yall think
let me know

Have you ever rebuilt your stock carb? I know the replacement cost is insane so if you know people that can make the ford carb work, it might be a reasonable option.

I'd really like to hear a little more about carb swaps myself. I know somebody is selling Weber conversions for the 22r on Ebay, but they're running close to $300. That's only $200 less than I paid for my rig.  If anybody has had any experience with carb swaps or knows of a site that deals with swapping in a rochester or holley 2 barrel, I'd really like to hear about it. Thanks, Tony |

LC Engineering sells a Holley carb, but I don't know if you also have to buy the intake. Check them out at www.lcengineering.com |
