ok, im not familiar with lifting front straight axle yotas, everything seems incredibly simple though, but i have a ? about the torque rod, is it a necessity? cuz i dont remember seeing one on a lifted toyota? i found a drop bracket from NWOR but do yall recommend getting it or is a torque tod not that important??

I believe you will need it on the street to help control bumpsteer if you have the stock push pull steering setup. If you can afford it I would recomend changing the whole steering over to a cross over kit. There are many kits out there and the price has come down substantially over the past couple years. I believe that the All Pro hysteer kit is selling for $399. I paid a hundred fifty more then that for the same kit two years ago. They also require you to change the steering box to an IFS one but they can be had for cheap at the wrecker. I don't even run a stabalizer and get no noticable bump steer. Just my 2cents.

If you like stopping in a straight line, keep it. Without it your truck will pull to the right when you brake. The greater the speed and harder the braking, the worse it is. Makes for an interesting panic stop. Like the sway bar, it will limit articulation offroad, but you can make a quick release to disconnect it for that.

aight thanks! i do still have stock steering, but an all pro hy-steer crossover system is down the road, but im 16 so the $$$ is limited at the moment. I am EXTREMELY used to diving to the left with my 88 yota (due to worn idler arm bushings i believe). i will go with a torque rod bracket, however if it isnt immediately mandatory i will buy my lift, drag link, brake lines, and whatever driveshaft modifications needed first.
