im wondering what information can be gained by having the serial number off of an engine(22r) and where can i find this information out? thanks

carfax only helps with the vin not the serial number off of an engine. i have a 22r with the serial # 1067941 and i dont remember what year it is. the 22r is a replacement for my 1986 22re, but i used the efi off the re and put it on the 22r. ne ways i was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what year the engine is?
