hey all.... i'm 3 weeks into my truck, got it running about a week ago, but the only way i can get it to idle is to turn the speed screw up on the carb, so it's running about 1000 rpm, and it's still really rough. and i know the problem is in the carb, cause when i trickle gas directly into it, it smoothes out and idles great. and when i hold the choke closed, it does the same thing, idles great. so it's just not getting enough gas (replaced the 'installed backwards and blown up' fuel pump too, so that's ok, not the problem). it's the weber 32/36 dgav carb, and all the info i've been able to find on the internet assumes i've got the installation guide and instructions and stuff, which i don't cause i bought it on the truck already from another guy, and judging by the way he put it together (backwards), he didn't have it either. i bought a haynes weber manual, but it's still being shipped, and i don't wanna wait! so anyway, my question is, anyone ever have any similar problems, or any suggestions? i'm thinking it might be the idle jet, but from what i have been able to find on the weber site, i'm not so sure anymore. thanks.... i wanna drive my truck! ;D -DrumBum

I had a weber on my landcruiser but never had to mess with it too much unless the fuel got low. Had a bunch of crap in the tank which made it run rough. Not sure about what the problem could be. If the guy put it in backwards, heck it could be anything. Does sound like a jet not feeding right or maybe needle spacing. Not sure. Never tore my weber apart so Im guessing. Good luck man
