my 1980 toyota 4x4 has no speedometer orgas gauge, i bought it without them how would i go about putting them in and the truck runs 38s also the gas tank is located in the bed behind the cab

Do you mean the gauges in the dash are missing or they just don't work?

Ya there actually is no gauges in the truck so I was going to use aftermarket parts I guess

At this point, I'd just get an aftermarket electronic speedo. Use the sender from a '90-'94 truck/4Runner w/22RE and electronic speedo, it will fire the aftermarket gage. The best thing about these is that they are easily calibrated for tire size/gearing etc.
