Everytime I go to crank my engine after it has not been run for a while say overnight it takes forever to start. Im guessing its my fuel pump or something? How would I know if my fuel pump is bad and or what else could be causing this problem? Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

well its carbureted but I found out the problem the electric choke broke so I rigged a manual choke for the meanwhile its still a bitch to start in the cold with the manual choke but it will do! Where exactly on a carb would it tell me what model it is , the engine is a chevy 4.3 with a 2barrel non progressive carb?

Some carbs have a metal tag in the front of it that is held in place by one of the screws that holds the carb together. Some carbs also may have the ID # on the side of the.
