yeah i got an 82 pickup(22R) 4x4 with the head gasket blown. I have disconnected everything i could find from the head, and it still wont come off, wont even budge. Ive taken the head bolts out, the timing cover bolt, took the headers off, unbolted the intake manifold, etc...the head wont even budge. AT ALL. Is there anything I could have easily overlooked that's holding this damn thing on? Its really getting to be a pain....do i have to take the intake manifold completely off or what? any replies are appreciated.
thanks, alex

It's quite obvious that no one had a solution for you. Don't get all bent up about it. Not every problem has a solution, fixing them WITHOUT seeing them makes it a lot harder.
So, since you figured out your troublesome problems, mind filling us in on what you did?

There is a hidden bolt at the front of the motor just under the timing chain gear. I felt bad when I read this post yesterday because I missed it until then. Sorry.
