Hi I have a 1984 Toyota ex cab 4wd, I just purchased a 1983 4wd for parts(has a real bad frame) some one had put a 3 inch lift on the 83, i have looked at it , (with tapemeasure)and I (belive I can take tke suspension from the 83 and use it on the 84- am I correct ? also I plan on removing the front and back axles and rebuilding them and putting them under the 84 ( they look the same - does anyone know for sure? THANKS VERY MUCH ,ED Yeah you can stick the 83 suspension right on the 84. You want to use the 84 front axle, it has more gusseting from the factory. |

Also the flange on the 3rd member are different for the drive shafts. the 83 and older have much smaller bolt holes. the springs and such will swap over just fine.   |
