tranny and clutchs

i bought a 86 4 cyl that needs a tranny (for $140 , i have one from a 88 v6 4runner. the 86 i just bought has a new clutch in it so i would prefer not to put another in if i dont have to. can i just put in the tranny from the runner, or will i need some other tranny or clutch or what? thanks for the info

Only if you swap t-cases too.
The 4 cyl tranny is 21 spline output and the V6 is 23.
I don't know if the clutches are interchangeable, but they may be.

yes it will work there is only one clutch available part #3122129055 it is for both trucks and 4runner 4 or 6 it doesn't matter
