Hey Guys _______ Are the transfer cases and differentials identical and interchangeable in the PRE 1986 Toyota trucks and 4runners, I’m sure there might be deviations in driveshaft lengths, do to slight differences in wheelbases, other than that ,are the drive train parts interchangeable? I want to go to a duel transfer case setup in my 85runner, if I look for parted out trucks (tacos)pre 86, will they work/// Also if I want to upgrade(strengthen) my differentials ,what should I be looking for in the bone yards in POST 85 trucks or Runners for differential upgrade(strengthen) ____ THANKS BAYRUNNER

The 4 cyl t-cases are the same thru 95 (except the 86-87 turbo-4, which is 23 spline and therefore a little beefier). They can be top shift or forward shift.
IFS rear axles are 3" wider than SAS.
V6 thirds are beefier, and were also used in the 86-87 turbo-4 trucks.
