my 85 ext cab makes an almost rubbing or binding type noise at the final stages of braking or when i make sharp turns into my steep driveway. when breaking the noise only happens at slower speeds , you know when you hit the brakes and the front end dives a little.. i have sort of rulled out my brakes because they are less than 4 months old and i also hear the noise pulling in my driveway or over curbs. i also noticed that when i jack the truck up on either side of the front that the spring does not flatten out at all and the shackle remains in a straight up position, ( i have already loosened the shackle bolts). what i have done to the truck includes chevy springs on rear, 4 inch pro comp springs on front, 1 1/2 shackles front and rear, adjustable drag link, sky jacker shocks, converted from auto hubs to manual (aisin), 35 inch pro comp mt, 5.29's and e-z lockers front and rear and i lenghtened and reinstalled my torque rod hoping it would somehow solve the noise problem. also the sway bar is gone. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I used to drive a suburban with 35's. The lift it had was not quite enopugh to clear the tires when turning sharp or when the suspension bottomed out, so when I turned sharp onto steep streets n such I heard a rubbing/binding type noise, have you considered it being the tires rubbing on something??

yeah, i am sure its not the tires. plenty of clearance. i also checked the bearings and they are all plenty tight.
