dose anyone know about quick release hinges. the custom doors are made out of stock doors. i want to be able to just lift the door off to change doors, but i cant find a bracket or hinge to fit in that flat and small of space.

I am toying with the idea of drilling out the hinge pin and using clip-pins (from a tractor or trailer hitch ) to put in the place of the center pin. Then I can just pull the pins and lift the doors off. What do ya think?

when i took the doors off my 80 toy for some tube doors i just got some 5/16 th long shank bolts and cut the threads off then drilled a small hole for a pin now i just pop the pin and can swap out in a few secs

trailer hinges would work too,(so it seems) the pin and shank style that is used on a lot of lawn maintinance trailers. where there are two pins, high and low that you would put on the door, with the shank (like a sleeve) to the door in the same location in relation to the placement of the pins on the body, and then you could slide them on from the top(the sleeves/shank over the pins), and gravity holds them on, or if you really want to get em to stay drill a hole through the pin, and insert a pin through that . if not, just go to a junk yard and rape a jeep of it's hinges and acc. ? i believe they are the same design... but the design lal357 has shown work too, as seen in the pics. - BeNĀ²
