in process of doing SAS on my 88 v6. i know i can use the v6 calipers, but there is a substantial difference in the v6 and 4-cyle rotors, i heard that i need FJ rotors.... what series of FJ rotors do i need? i would think the FJ80... but not sure.
i also know that the IFS hubs are different than the solid hubs.... can i just take the whole hub assembly(using FJ rotors) from the IFS and put it on the solid axle?? the solid axle i have needs new brakes and hubs. edit: or are the hubs not compadible because of different axle splines?

Yes, you need 80's Land Cruiser rotors. Yes, IFS locking hubs will not fit a solid axle due to spline count.

alrighty... when i'm ready i'll be getting some 80 rotors, probalby slotted because w/ 33's my breaks say after getting off the highway, or hitting lots of stoplights on a fast road. guess i'll be hitting the junkyard looking for hubs from a solid toyota or a sami, do you think its worth just buying new hubs?? edit: fj80 is 91-92.. what about fj Z80's?? those are 93-97 last i knew.

I used 82 FJ40 rotors. Never heard of anyone using FJ80's. New hubs form Toyota are prohibitively expensive and aftermarket hubs are inferior to stock hubs. Just get them from a wrecker for cheap. Make sure to save your lugs, I had a bitch of a time finding replacements for mine.

lugs like the bolts holding the hub stuff together, wheel lugs(or studs depending on where u ask) are at any auto parts store.

I couldn't get the correct wheel studs from anywhere including the dealer and every parts store chain in town. Eventually I managed to find a stud that worked from a domestic model. I live in Canada and I know people online in the states who says its no problem to find them at the dealer or napa. When i tried napa they said that they had different part numbers from the american stores. Trust me, this was very frustrating.

I guess I do now Mike. I was just stealing parts off moving vehicles before, but this parts store thing sounds way better. ;D
