Hey Guys________I have a 84 Toyota with 5sp, 22r, 529s, and 35s, and I am interested in what you guys are turning (rpm,s in 4th and 5th) with similar tires and gears.Also how close to stock(rpm and mph wise ) is this setup?? _____ THANKS BAYRUNNER

In my 82 with original gears and 235s going 60 mph im about 2500 RPM.

i've got an '85 w a 5 spd 22re 5.29's and had 35's until this past wednesday, now i have 33's. i used to run 70 on the interstate at roughly 2900 rpm (depending on the direction the wind was blowing). i believe the speedometer was pretty accurate because i ran it next to a couple of my buddies stock trucks to check it. now i run 70 ?( have not checked speedo yet with 33's) at about 3100 roughly. i know it is turning faster but the engine feels a lot better with the 33's(even going into the wind).  |
