I have 2.5" of lift just with lovell springs and long travel shocks, would I have to modify any steering components if I added 2" lift shackles?
The aim is to fit 35" tires on my 85 runner, I might consider a body lift, but I can easily make that myself from alloy bar and HT bolts (like we did on the old Subaru's).

You can usually get by with stock steering up to 2-3" of lift, 3-4" you should get a dropped drag link, 4"+ cross-over steering is a good idea. Body lift has no affect on steering, just suspension lift.

That's an adjustable dropped drag link. Yes it will work.
