You could use Add A Leafs, but they tend to give you a rougher ride. Lift shackles are good for 1-2" and don't affect the ride. For the rear only, blocks can get you 1-2" also.

I guess from old age and the 500 pound bumper my front springs have de-arched do they make a add-a-leaf for the front??

why do you need springs if it sits level? i thought that was the idea. it all depends what you have in mind for your truck. either way i think you'll want to go with a good but exspensivish suspension.

Every bit of cheap lift helps untill I can get a good one. If I do 2inch schackles front and rear. 2inch add-a-leaf in the front and 2 inch block in the rear.= 4 inches of lift. That would give me room for 33s?

I run 35's with only a 3 inch suspension lift and some fender trimming up front. They rub on frame a little so 33's should be no prob.

I don't like them but that's just me. My neither, why body lift a solid axle truck when you can cut fenders. I run 2.5" lifted springs with 35" tyres that only rub on the steering and springs, mainly because they are 12.5" wide. 33s would be easier to install with just some shackle lift. my 2c.

Well call me crazy but i've alway's wanted a big truck. So I am proably gonna do it untill I get tired of it and that proably won't be long. Proably goin 7 inch skyjacker springs-3 inch body and shackels with 41 inch iroc radials.

Drew, is your axle moved forward? I know my '85 would not be able to fit 40's even now after trimming fender and firewall. Maybe the newer body style has more room? But saying that I do agree you don't need 10" of lift!!

That is awesome thanks for the pics. I see that bar on the front that your springs are mounted to does that give you some lift or is it all spring? Myself being a Toyota nut I am going to try to get this one back to showroom condition except for lift and wheels and tires since it is a 85.

thats a spring hanger. it does give lift but its pretty standard for an SAS truck. the springs are toyota rears put in the front. with a few extra leaves thrown in. you need high steer to do this tho
