my poor 85 has an oil leak on the right side behind the power steering pump. My dad thinks its the oil pressure sending unit. Has anybody had this problem or know how to fix or even identify the thing? Thanks

It could easily be the sending unit has loosened. I'd do a more thorough inspection of the TC cover housing. More often than not, a worn timing chain wil eat through the cover. Mine did, then I bought a used unit only to find that was almost worn through too.

When the TC wears thru the TC Cover it typically creates an internal leak (oil and coolant), not an external oil leak.
The oil press sender is located right by the oil filter. Is that where the leak is?

The P/S pump should be on the left. Are you taking about the right as you are facing your rig or as the direction your rig is facing. Should be going by the direction your rig is facing, so that the driver's side would be the left and passenger's side the right.
As fourwd1 said "The oil press sender is located right by the oil filter." Should be to the front near the engine mount.
To help try to find the actual link location you can clean the engine down with some degreaser and drive for a while and recheck it now and then to see where it's at.

no i was going by looking at the truck from the opposite way it is facing. so if i look at it the way it is facing that would put the power steering pump on the left. the leak is not by the filter so i guess is not the sending unit. ill clean it and drive it to see.
