i have a 85 with a 22r, im running a weber which i just rebuilt a few months ago. the issue is sometimes when im driving i will push in the clutch to come to a stop and the truck will bog down and die. its also does this in the mornings upon start up. but its cold upon first start up and that isnt really an issue. i just dont know why it would be doing this when the truck is warm. most of the time it idles fine with the carb turned up, but it still seems to want to die. any help would be apprieciated. thanks.

here are a couple things it could be. first, your clutch might not be fully dis-engaging, meaning the engine is still under a load when you come to a stop and it kills it, try putting the truck in neutral before stopping, second, check your fuel pump and fuel filter, when were they last replaced? without adequate fuel getting to the carb at idle it will die, but when you rev it up it will have more fuel pressure and wont have the same problem.

figured it out. it was the air fuel mixture. i cleaned all the jets and adjusted the screw at the base of the carb. all is well now. thanks for the reply.
