I am putting in a new 22r in my 81 and I wanted to know what the basic electrical wires are. I only want to hook up the ones that make it run.
I hope that makes sense.

Distributor(this might be the tach, not sure), electric choke(if equipped), and sensors(oil pressure, oil temp, and coolant temp), mine also has a coolant warmer on the bottom of the intake, the ground from the body to the valve cover, the ground from the block to the frame next to the passenger motor mount, the starter, the alternater wires. I think that's it. Mine is the bare minimum I think. The vacuum lines going to the factory carb lead to many other sensors and switches requiring more wiring but I am running a weber without all that crap.
