Has anybody ever done the rear disk brake conversion that Downey or All Pro Off Road offers (to fit 79-83 Pick-Up)?
If so, what are your thoughts on the gain in braking power?

I know a few people that have done it. Results are mixed, it's hard to get right, but once it's dialed in results are good.
It's on my to-do list, once that shipment of round-to-its comes in ;D

I did it. if you dont upgrade the brake master cylinder you wont stop so well. i ran over a 4 wheeler. oops. besides that it seems like a great mod. but mine doesnt go down the road either. so i would not know about streetability.
