Remove the steering wheel. If it's pre-airbags it's just one nut.

Remove the steering wheel. If it's pre-airbags it's just one nut. This is a damn good idea! PROPS!

you can put a switch in the ignition wire (or any wire the truck could not start or run without) then mount the switch under the dash or the truck just somewhere it cant be seen...or you could just take off one of the tires and take it with you like people do when they dont want want somebody to steal their bike

thanks yea i think im going to go with taking off the steering wheel That's what I did w/my 80 something when I used to park it on the street in front of the house. The nut just needs to be on finger tight. Try stealing something you can't steer ;D

Uhh, Vice grips FTW, if someone wants your truck they'll get it. Those clutch or brake pedal locks are good also, kinda hard to drive without a clutch or brakes. Kinda sucks for us west coast guys though, these trucks are in high demand fro the thieves.

intresting thing-I heard about a guy rewiring his van to where it wouldn't start unless the right turn signal was activated. It would take them a while to figure out how to get it running if they did figure it out.
Toyota's are in high demand over here on the west coast, I hear about them getting stolen all the time. A couple of my friends have had theirs stolen and mine was broken into and had the ignition broken (too bad for them it didn't have a starter in it at the time) I was thinking about wiring mine so you had to press on the horn to start it (mine blows dixie at 120dbs, enough to wake me up anywhere)
My brother used to own a dodge that he took the distributer out of every night (But that's a bit extreme)

put a motion sensor in the truck to where if someone gets in it a beeper starts going off on your bluetooth device.
