i just put anew 22r in my truck but it seemed to be missing so i went through and re timed it like 3 times then i went downa and bought new plugs and plug wires but the #4 cylinder still wont fire and it loads up with gas and blows it out through the exauhst gasket any ideas

Did you check your distributer cap? Pull the number 4 cylinder plug wire and set it somewhere that you can see it, then crank it over and see if it is sparking or not. This is after of course you get all of the gas out of the cylinder and let it all dry.

Might start with checking the the dist cap for corrosion.
Also when checking for spark with the plug wire, the metal end of the wire needs to be within a 1/4" of a good ground. Or you can use a good spark plug on the end of the plug wire and set the spark plug on a good ground.

ha just had a similar prob with my #1 cylinder. like everyone else said, check cap, rotor, all the contact points, make sure the plug is in all the way, make sure it's gapped correctly
