You will probably lose a good amount of your power. Best to re-gear to 5.29's.

It's no rocket with 5.29's. The slow lane is my friend! Plus even with 5.29's the stock 2.28 low range isn't all that impressive off-road. Crawler gears help a ton.

my truck has 529 with the 20r 4spd and 38s 60mph is right at 3000 rpms. I could run interstate speeds with 410 and 35s but had to catch the big hills right. a few years back i had the 22r with a 5spd and could run 60mph at about 3000 rpms in 4low

It wasn't that bad for me, I could still get up to freeway speeds etc.

I actually got my weber carb tuned much better the other day. I hit 85mph! It still slows way down on hills though.
