The truck I'm working on is actually an 86, but has been converted from EFI to carb. I put a stock carb on, but I don't know how to wire the choke. There is no stock wiring for it. Four wires come off the choke; two black, one red and one white w/black stripe. I've figured out that both black go to ground, and the white/black stripe wire goes to a switched battery+ source. But I can't figure out what the red wire is supposed to connect to. Any help is greatly appreciated.

On mine there's 3 wires on the choke connector. 1 red & 2 black.
The 2 black go to a solenoid beside the choke. The red 1 goes to the choke (the black round thing the size of a half dollar).

I reposted because after 5 days I had no responses in the 89-95 forum. Anyway, the red wire I have is already connected to the choke, but where does it connect to on the truck? I don't have the stock wiring, so I'm wondering what kind of supply it is supposed to get. 12V+ switched, a signal from a sensor, etc...

No problem. +12V switched is all it needs. None of mine have that 4th wire though, does it really go to the choke or just near it?

Thanks. I guess that 4th wire is not actually part of the choke assembly, just near it. They all come off in the same cluster. I do know that it goes to some kind of switch because i can hear it when i touch it to +, and it appears to run correctly when connected. I'll hook that red wire to + and see if I get a working choke.

Thats probably the fuel cutoff solenoid. Needs to have power to it to let the fuel to the carb. I fought with my electric choke for a while on the 22R and finally put a manual choke on it.
