There are different ways of doing this. 1) Buy a 3rd already regeared. 2) Buy the gears and have a shop install them. 3) Buy the gears and install them yourself. To do this you will need a couple special tools, a press and a bearing breaker. Plus be able to tear down the axle. Not that difficult to do. If you've never set up gears before it would be best to have someone else do it that knows how to do it right.

Something about them North Carolina people lately FYI: Bad mouthing people is a good way not to get your answers or even kick off the board. There is a spell check that can be easily and QUICKLY used if needed.
The best way to learn how to do gears is to find someone that knows how to do them correctly that is willing to show you how.

Setting gears to spec is pretty simple. Setting them up to last is another story altogether. Experience counts for something. On a trail truck no problem. But if you plan on using it on the hiway find someone to show you how or pony up the bucks for a pro to do it.

I had a buddy of mine set mine up seams good. It didn't look that hard but he has done quit a few and says its all in the feel of the gears I was told to listen for a Winny noise by some other guys and to feel if the truck still drives the same start stop gas on off. and just to add a little humor on the spelling deal here I thought j**p was spelled with ee not **
