[shadow=red,left,300]USING POST TOOLS:[/b][/shadow][/size]
REPLY, SEND TOPIC, and PRINT
At the top and the bottom of the page in the red bar you will see four icons. , , and . These are pretty self expained, but just a quick breif on them....
Reply:[/b] Sends you to a new page where you can make a reply to someone post.
Send Topic:[/b] Lets you send the topic to a friends Email address.
Print:[/b] Show the topic on your screen so you can write all down by hand ;D. OK it really lets you print the topic through your printer. By hitting the print icon it will bring up another web page where you print the info from. Here like any other document you can right click and go to Print or go to the File menu in the tool bar and go to Print. This way will print it out in a small font, about a size 7 or 8. Another way of doing this is to left click, and hold, and hightlight what you want to have printed. Then right click and go to Print. Make sure that you change the setting form All to Selection. If you do this methed on the original post instead of using the print icon then it will print out in about a size 10 font.
MAKING QUOTES
In the upper right corner at the top of each post you’ll see the quote icon . Clicking on this will automatically take you to a reply page where you’ll see what was written on the post you just clicked the icon on. You can delete some of the info to quote just part of the original post. Just make sure that you don’t delete the square brackets ([ ]) or anything within them. There should be a set of them at each end of the quote.
Ex: Clicking the quote icon you'll get something like this....[/color]Hey all! Have you been enjoying yourselves here on ToyotaOffRoad.com??[/ quote]
Anything in green can be removed (text will not actually show up in green).
MODIFING YOUR POST
If at any time after you made your post and you decide you want to add or change something you can use the modify icon botton at the top right of your post. Click it and do whatever mods needed and click the modify button at the bottom.
DELETING YOUR POST
If you posted something and then desided you don't want to post it you can remove it by clicking the delete icon also at the top right of your post.
NOTE: You can only modify and delete your own posts.
THE ICONS
Most of the icons , etc, within the reply or post page work in the same way except after clicking one there will not be any text in between the brackets (] [). You would then just place your own text between the brackets.
Ex: clicking the bold icon .... [/ b] then pllacing "whatever" in between whatever[/ b].
Some of the icons like the Web link and the Email link work in the same way except for here you would just enter the web link or Email address in between the two brackets (] [).
Ex: clicking the Email icon.... then add the address whoever@whatever.com[/ email].
NOTE: On all of the examples if you noticed there is a space within some of the backets. Do not do this. I only did it here to kill the link setting so that it shows actual text.[/i][/color]
;D
Now for those CRAZY little smiley faces: Careful here, this could get ticky. All you need to do is click the icon (smily you want) and go back to typing. Tough, right?
[shadow=red,left,1300]DON'T HIT THAT POST BUTTON YET:[/b][/shadow][/size]
Before clicking that post button click preview to see if it all looks right. Proof read it and make any corrections needed. You can also use the all new Spell Check to. All images should show up and any web links will work in the peview. Also if you happen to notice something you forgot to add after hitting the post button, remember you don't need to make a new post. Again at the top right of your post, next to the quote icon there is the modify icon . Just click it and do whatever mods needed and click the modify button at the bottom.
[glow=red,12,300][shadow=red,left,300]NEW[/shadow][/glow]
A nice NEW thing that has been added is that if you have already typed out your text and then decide you want to make something within the text BOLD, ITALIC, or what have you, then all you have to do now is highlite it and then click on the that icon. This also includes the text color drop down menu and a link for a pic or web site.[/color]
