Well, i just got off the phone with 4wheel paerts, i got my 5.29's and the master install kits and it was $471.09 total. First, are there any tips for putting them in the frount end ( i have I.F.S.) and secound, can i just pull off the diff cover on the frount and the c.v.'s off or do i have to take the whol I.F.S. set up off, what would be easyer to do. Thanks for the halp guys, i'll try to keep you posted on my progress and problems. ;D

This isn't going to be very helpful for you but until someone w/ more experience comes along this might get you by.
Don't do it yourself.
Your post makes it sound like you have never installed gears before and if this is the case you should have a professional do it. There is too much to go wrong with setting up preload, getting the right contact pattern etc. Also can require a lot of special tools.
Basically you need to remove the third member front or rear to set the gears up. On the back that involves pulling the axle shafts then disconnecting the driveshaft then removing the third member from the housing.
My manual doesn't mention removing the axle shafts for an ifs front. So you'd at least have to remove the driveshaft and what ever else is connecting the third member.
I plan on buying some complete third members when i do gears. If anyone has tips on installing ifs front and rear third members that might be cool for this post too. Otherwise I may ask in the future.

i don't believe i have a 3ed member in the frount, i just have the diff cover kinda like your everyday ford 9 inch, i also think that i have to pull axle shafts up frount to get the carrier out

Yeah to pull the carrier in the front you will have to pull the shafts. You should be able to pull the whole front carrier without removing the IFS braces. I'm trying to remember but I think you have to unbolt one side of the axle tube from the carrier (driver side).

well i just got the rear end gears in it and it's great, but i think it's maby a little too low for the high way ( 5.29 and a 36) but it's still better than that stock 4.10's but im starting on the frount tomorrow.

Sorry to interrupt, but how are you satisfied with the TSL on the street ?
I'm just about to install a set of original Toyota 5,13 gears from a Toy HiAce 4x4 van in my 1990 Hilux... I just bought the van for for the gears only and it was scrapped afterwords. Very strange that the van had the diff on the left side of the car compared to the right side of the Hilux, so I cannot just swap the axle, but need to put the R&P into my own diff-casing I'm going to put in a Truetrac up front and a Aussie locker in the rear.
I guess I'm lucky to have the 4" procomp lift kit so removing the complete mid section of the front axle is quite much easier (more space) when doing the job up front.
