I'm planning on installing front and rear lockers in my 85 and I'm wondering who makes the best ring and pinion gears. I've heard good and bad things about richmond gear. The good being that they are very stong. The bad being their quality control and poor customer service. Any help would be great.

Have you checked out precision gears? Thats probably what i'm going to go with, 5.29's in front and back with Detroit TruTrac or if i can afford them ARB's.

I really like Randy's Ring and pinion for service and parts knowledge.

OK, I checked out both randy's and precision gear and they both look like excellent companies but I think I'll go with randy's because I've heard nothing but good things about them. Now I have another question. I wan't to get lockers front and rear since I will be tearing it down to re-gear anyways. I wish I could afford ARB but $3000 bucks just isn't within my reach. so I thought I would just get regular lockers. I My question is what one? I was thinking about the aussie or the detriot. Anyone have experience with these brands?

I have Precision gears in my Taco, and Richmond gears in my '67 Camaro race car. They are both very good gears as the Richmonds are handling all that power.
