It's obviously an X-locker, off of the X-man's truck.

I have no trouble seeing the pic. Never seen a locker like that before.

It is a locker it is a planetary gear type I think. one of the big companies came out with one a while back I can't remember which. detroit or powertrax I think.

It looks similar to a detroit locker. Best guess.

I don't think that is the detroit, but it is a gear driven limited slip locker similar to the detroit "TrueTrack".
Where did you get that?

i bought it off ebay with some gears, i was told it looked like a torsen type 1 so after doing some research i found out it was, and they it seems to be a really good limited slip with locker type characteristics. turns out they are used alot for racing, but i guess the army put them in the front and rear of the military hummers. don't know how good it will be for off-road yet but the shop installing my gears does the work for $75 if i pull the 3rd and the price is the same if i re-use my carrier or put this one in so i'm going to give it a shot.

If it works like the Tru Track, it will be great off road! The only situation you may run into where you will loose traction is if you have one wheel off the ground. If this happens, you can apply some breaks to give the lifted wheel some resistance, and your other wheel should get traction. Great find.
